Services - Remedial Works

Electrical Testing Contractors will offer a full remedial service to rectify faults which are highlighted during our inspection and test. With over 30 years of experience our engineers will offer the most cost effective resolution to your faults, whilst ensuring that the safety and effectiveness of your electrical installation are not impaired.

All our engineers are fully qualified JIB Approved Electricians with 18th edition IET regulation accreditation.

We pride ourselves on good standards of workmanship along with excellent client Liaison. We understand that in many areas of industry speedy resolutions are paramount with as little disruption as possible and we strive to understand all our clients needs.

We offer a no obligation quotation at the end of each inspection and test which will detail the works required and the costs associated. This can be taken up at any time up to 60 days after the test date.

All materials that we use are to the correct British standards and are fitted as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

Installation testing is only part of the electrical safety compliance requirement. If the essential that remedial work is completed following testing to ensure due diligence.

When electrical safety testing is completed any "damage, deterioration, defects and dangerous conditions within the installation" will be reported as follows:

• Code 1 - requires urgent attention
• Code 2 - potentially dangerous and should be given urgent attention
• Code 3 - improvement recommended
• Any fault reported as code 1 or 2 must be remedied

Essential remedial work must be completed in an appropriate time frame, and in the case of many faults this means urgently following testing, so that the non-conformity is closed.

All required remedial works identified whilst testing will be detailed within our reports. Sign off sheets are issued to provide a formal closure of defects which enables traceability to each defect.

This provides our clients with a clear audit trail to prove compliance.
